Long-running tv soap opera Onderweg naar Morgen (on to tomorrow) will be taken off air next May, the public broadcasting authority said on Wednesday.

The soap was first broadcast in 1994 as an answer to commercial tv’s popular Goede Tijden Slechte Tijden (good times, bad times).
Onderweg’s popularity has slumped in recent years. The show used to attract over 700,000 viewers but that is now down to around 360,000, the Volkskrant reports.
