D66 leader Sigrid Kaag has made a formal complaint to the police after anti-coronavirus campaigner and anti-vaxxer Willem Engel circulated her private address on Twitter.

Engel placed a screen shot of land registry information showing where Kaag’s home is located, just days after a man waving a burning torch was arrested for making threats outside her home.

Kaag, who will be finance minister in the new government, is currently in quarantine at home after testing positive for coronavirus.

Twitter removed the tweet and banned Engel, who has 14,000 followers, from posting on the social media network for 12 hours.

The dance teacher was unrepentant about his action, saying Kaag’s address was already widely known. He also described her positive coronavirus test as ‘bullshit’ and a con.
