Dutch police have confirmed they arrested three men in early April after finding 10 kilos of cocaine and €800,000 in cash in a secret compartment in the van one of them was driving.

The three, two men aged 26 and 35 from Breda, and a 39-year-old from Zaandam, were arrested on April 10 and have been remanded in custody. They will appear in court in mid July.

It is unclear from the police report if the van containing the drugs and cash was stopped as part of a routine control or as part of surveillance operation. It, and cars driven by the other two suspects, had all left a warehouse on the Hazepad industrial estate, the police statement said.

The industrial estate in the north of the city was the centre of another drugs bust in 2018, when police found 17 kilos of marijuana, three kilos of hashish and four kilos of cocaine in a warehouse.
