Sitting targets: thieves make off with 88 museum cafe chairs

Café manager Freek Joosten told local news network L1 that camera footage showed the perpetrators making several trips carrying stacks of chairs at around 4am.
The designer seats are valued at more than €21,000.
The chairs were tied down with iron cables and the grounds are monitored by multiple cameras. The museum has reported the theft to the police.
The museum, which sits on Avenue Céramique in the Limburg capital, specialises in visual arts.
The terrace was recently renovated and the chairs were from designer Fermob Luxembourg. The thieves also took a waste container.
Visitors are still welcome in the café. Joosten has temporarily reallocated the chairs from his catering business to use on the terrace.
Police have asked anyone who saw anything unusual in the vicinity on the night of July 26 to 27, or who may have camera footage, to contact them.
