The Dutch cricket team have beaten Ireland in the first of three one-day internationals which will help decide who goes through to the 2023 cricket World Cup.

The Dutch beat Ireland by one run, giving Oranje 10 crucial Super League points, in what the cricket board says is the first time a Dutch cricket match has been broadcast live on television.

The second match is on Friday, with the series closing on June 7. It is the first time the Netherlands have played in the ODI Super League.

The win pushes Oranje into ninth place in the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League standings.
