Hugo van Steijn has his office on the Stationsplein in Den Bosch where the team will arrive by train from London. Preparations for their welcome are already underway, say press reports.
Van Steijn says the noise is already affecting his concentration. ‘I shall certainly have to write off Monday as a working day,’ he said.
A council spokesman said it is impossible to please everyone. ‘We gave the licence for the festivities after talking to everyone affected. After all, it is not going to go on for long.’
