Dutch judo fighter floors bottle thrower at Olympics
Judo fighter Edith Bosch slammed a man in the back at the Olympics in London on Sunday when he threw a bottle at the competitors in the men’s 100 metre sprint.
Bosch, who won the bronze medal in her weight category last Thursday, told the late night news the man had shouted insults at sprinter Usain Bolt as the men lined up for the start.
‘He was standing right in front of me and when he threw a bottle onto the track, I shoved him hard in the back,’ she said.
Her only regret is that because of the commotion she missed seeing the race.
London police confirmed they had arrested a man following an incident during the race.
Bolt won the race in a new Olympic record time of 9.63 seconds.
