Mecom booked a 6% decline in revenue from its Dutch activities in the first half of this year, the Britain-based newspaper group said on Wednesday.

Gross profit fell from €44m to €31m in the Netherlands, Mecom said. Mecom owns regional paper makers Wegener and Media Groep Limburg.
Last week, the company said it was looking at ‘all options’ to create more value for its shareholders, which may mean the company will be dismantled. Mecom also has interests in Denmark and Poland.
According to the Financieele Dagblad, Rabobank is looking at potential buyers on behalf of the Dutch activities.
