Dutch airport passengers reach record levels

Dutch airports dealt with almost 54 million passengers last year, a new record, the national statistics office CBS said on Thursday.

The total was up 11% on 2010, which also showed a slight recovery on the decline years of 2008 and 2009.
The bulk of the passengers moved through Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport. However, Eindhoven’s airport grew from 700,000 passengers in 2010 to 2.7 million last year.
