No alcohol in Rhenen during Queen’s Day royal visit

People celebrating this year’s Queen’s Day in Rhenen will be banned from drinking alcohol during the royal family’s visit, the Telegraaf reports on Wednesday.

Queen Beatrix and other members of her family will be in Rhenen and nearby Veenendaal to celebrate April 30 this year.
But Rhenen town council has decided to ban the sale of alcohol from midnight to 16.00 hours on Queen’s Day as a precautionary measure. The ban applies to wine and beer shops, supermarkets and cafes and bars, the Telegraaf said.
