Travel firms begin bringing back tourists from Tunisia

Dutch travel organisations are beginning to repatriate tourists from two seaside resorts in Tunisia, following a negative travel advice for the country from the foreign affairs ministry, Nos television reports.

At least four people died in overnight clashes with security forces in Tunisia despite a curfew and the deployment of troops, opposition officials told the BBC on Thursday. The protests, driven by anger at poverty and corruption, began last month.
Some 700 Dutch nationals are thought to be on holiday in Tunisia and a further 500 live there, Nos said.
Residents have been urged to register with the local consulate.
