Ajax captain Luis Suarez has made a personal plea to Ajax boss Frank de Boer in an attempt to force through his proposed move to English side Liverpool, the Daily Mail reports.

The paper says the Uruguay striker is caught in the middle of a protracted battle between Ajax and Liverpool over the price. Although Ajax are ready to lower their asking price from €35m, they have been angered by an opening offer of barely half their initial demand.
