‘Slight movement’ in civil service pay talks

Civil service unions and employers are to hold ‘open talks’ next week in an effort to break the deadlock over job guarantees and pay.


The unions want a 2% increase for national civil servants but the government is holding firm to a pay freeze.
Talks on Thursday showed there is ‘slightly more’ understanding of each other’s standpoint, CNV union negotiator Jorick de Bruin told news agency ANP.
