KPN has special VIP service
Telecoms company KPN has a separate customer service division for VIPs who have problems with their phones, the Volkskrant reports on Saturday.
The paper says company sources have told it Ad Scheepbouwer set up the VIP hotline soon after becoming CEO in 2001. It claims he had become irritated by being asked directly to deal with phone service problems.
A KPN spokesman confirmed the company does have a special service for people whose job requires they have a personal contact person within the company. It applies to people with a ‘vital political, economic, managerial or community function.’
KPN decides who should be entitled to use the service, he said.
