Insulting language a no-no in Almere council meetings

Describing people as ‘trash’, ‘street scum’ and ‘hoodlums’ is no longer acceptable in Almere city council meetings because it sets a bad example, the Telegraaf reports.


Such language is a consequence of hardening attitudes in society and has no place in the council chamber, Nico van Duijn of local party Leefbaar Almere said.
