GroenLinks’ support hit by pro-Afghan mission vote
Four of the five parties which supported the government’s decision to send a police training mission to Afghanistan have lost support, according to a new online poll by Maurice de Hond.
Hardest hit was the left-wing green party GroenLinks which saw its support shrink by three seats to eight, its lowest score since 2007, according to news agency ANP.
The two governing parties VVD and CDA have both lost one seat, as did the Liberal democrats D66.
By contrast, Labour and the anti-Islam PVV added two seats, while the Socialists and animal rights party PvdD each added one.
The VVD remains the biggest party on 34 seats with the PVV second on 29. Labour and the Socalists are both on 20 and the CDA on 16.
