Former international and Ajax player Frank de Boer has agreed a 3.5 year contract as chief coach for the Amsterdam club, the Volkskrant reports on Tuesday.
De Boer took over on a temporary basis when Martin Jol quit at the end of last year. The new contract will run until June 2014.
De Boer, 40, spent 11 seasons with Ajax. During that period, the club won five Dutch titles, the Super Cup, Champions League and Uefa Cup.
