China’s ICBC bank opens branch in Amsterdam
The world’s biggest bank, the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, opened an office on Amsterdam’s Museumplein on Thursday.
‘This is an example of the very fruitful relationship and close ties between China and the Netherlands,’ finance minister Jan Kees de Jager said. ‘The trading relationship with China is very important to us… and of course we hope more interest from China will follow.
The ICBC has some 18,000 branches and a workforce of 387,000 people.
