Rotterdam museum comes clean about art origins

Rotterdam’s Museum Boijmans van Beuningen is to start detailing information about the origin of works of art on its website, Nos tv reports.

The project focuses on works acquired around the time of World War II. The museum plans to state if art was acquired unlawfully or if its largely Jewish owners were forced to sell, Nos say.
The museum has been confronted with a number of claims from survivors and their families for works of art to returned.
