Tax office investigators are probing a suspected major fraud involving child benefits in Amsterdam, news agency ANP reports.

A number of addresses have been raided and five people are suspected of making fraudulent claims running into millions of euros, ANP said.
As well as making fake claims, the gang is suspected of making claims on behalf of other parents and then forcing them to hand over part of the money.
