Nearly €1bn in guilders is still out there
Nine years after the introduction of the euro, almost €1bn in guilders is still unaccounted for, the central bank said on Thursday.
Notes to the value of €495m have never been exchanged for euros and coins worth €500m have also disappeared, the bank said.
Paper money can be exchanged at the central bank until 2032.
