January trains set to be busier

Rush hour trains in the first two weeks of January are set to be busier than normal because so many carriages are out of action, Dutch Rail (NS) said on Thursday.

However, all passengers will be able to travel off-peak for reduced fees and the supplement for the Fyra high speed train between Amsterdam and Rotterdam will be lifted for the entire month, NS said.
‘We are working 24 hours a day, seven days a week to solve this as quickly as possible,’ CEO Bert Meerstadt said.
