Faith healer cleared of role in tv star’s cancer death
Faith healer Jomanda has been cleared of breaking duty of care while treating tv presenter Silvia Millecam, who died of cancer in 2001.
Millecam rejected tradtional treatment after developing breast cancer in 2001 Two alternative doctors were given short suspended sentences for their role in her death.
The public prosecution department said Jomanda should get a suspended sentence for telling the actress she did not have cancer.
However, the appeal court ruled that despite the intensive contact between the two, Jomanda had not kept Millecam away from traditional medicine.
