A record 53,000 people attended this year’s Miljonair Fair – a sort of trade fair for millionaires in Amsterdam, the organisers said on Monday evening.

Organiser Yves Gijrath told news agency ANP visitors this year were more eager to spend money, despite the economic crisis.
Among the popular items at this year’s event, the ninth to be held, was limited edition bottles of whisky at €3,500 each, ANP said.
