Pay deal reached for nursing home and home care workers
Unions and employers have reached a new pay deal for the 400,000 workers in the nursing home, home care and maternity care sectors, the Financieele Dagblad reports.
The two-year deal includes a 2.6% rise over two years and a 0.5% increase in the end-of-year bonus.
In return, the unions have agreed to scrap the extra holiday given to workers once they reach 55 and replace it with a new ‘save as you earn’ system.
