Some 60% of women and 52% of men regularly feel they have too much to do, according to new research by the government’s socio-cultural advisory group SCP.

Long working weeks and overtime are the main cause of feeling too busy, the report says. However, only one third of those questioned would like to work less and 29% would like to work more.
Half of the Dutch feel the balance between work and private life would be improved if schools and crèches were open longer.
