The HIV infection rate amongst gay men is soaring, according to new figures from the HIV monitoring foundation.

While the infection rate amongst heterosexuals is falling, some 850 gay men are infected every year, more than during the beginning of epidemic in the early 1980s, the foundation said.
It calls for ‘unorthodox measures’ to boost safe sex awareness.
