Good mussel season boosts fish consumption
The Dutch consumption of fish and shellfish has risen 4% over the past year, the fish board said on Thursday.
Consumption was boosted by the good mussel season this year.
Nine out of 10 Dutch households eat fish at least three times a week. Mussels, herring and cod are most popular. Consumption of canned and preserved fish is also up 5%.
