Jobless benefit office to cut 2,000 jobs

The UWV unemployment benefit organisation is to cut 2,000 jobs because the jobless rate is decreasing.

Those affected are on temporary contracts and were taken on to deal with the increase in claims following the economic crisis.
The organisation says more jobs will go later because of the merger between the UWV and the CWI job centres.
The benefit office has a workforce of over 20,000.
