Hundreds of men asked to give DNA in murder inquiry
Hundreds of men living in the town of Meppel are being asked to take a voluntary DNA test as part of an investigation to find the killer of an 88-year-old woman in June 2009.
In total 349 men will be asked to take part, based on a number of different criteria, including the fact they wear Nike sports shoes. DNA and a Nike footprint were found at the scene of the killing.
Jannie de Kruys-Deen was killed in her room at a nursing home in the town, near Zwolle.
