A serious fire in an underground car park in central Haarlem is now under control, but the extent of the damage to the 275 cars parked inside is still unclear, Nos tv reported on Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out on Tuesday evening, leading to the evacuation of nearby hotels and cafes because of the smoke.
The fire brigade eventually got the blaze under control by flooding the lower deck of the car park .
