Rotterdam football club Feyenoord is being bailed out by a group of private investors who have agreed to put up to €30m into the club in return for a maximum 49% stake.

The ‘Friends of Feyenoord’ investors, under the leadership of millionaire Pim Blokland, will also get two seats on the club’s supervisory board.
The initial investment will amount to €17m, taking the club’s debts down to €26m.
Feyenoord director Eric Gudde said the investment did not mean the club could sign new players during the winter transfer period.
The club is currently floundering at the bottom of the premier league.
