Executive pay cut at state-owned firms
Finance minister Jan Kees de Jager has negotiated lower executive pay packages at seven of the 14 commercial companies which are entirely or partly owned by the state, he told MPs on Tuesday.
At bus firm Connexxion, top pay deals have gone down 36%, at natural gas group Gasunie by 26%, Holland Casino 19%, NS railways 20% and the Schiphol airport group 15%, the minister said.
De Jager said he is also in talks to cut pay at the national grid operator Tennet and Rotterdam port.
