EasyJet complains about Schiphol transit fees

Budget airline EasyJet has made a formal complaint to the European Commission about Schiphol airport’s policy on transfer passengers, news agency ANP reports.

The airline claims Schiphol uses the high fees it charges European passengers to subsidise transit traffic.
Earlier this week, Schiphol said it was putting plans to increase transit passenger fees 20% on hold, following protests from KLM.
ANP says the competition authority had raised the question of transfer passenger fees last year and the issue is currently being looked into by judges in Rotterdam.
