Divers find body close to upturned canal ferry

Add as a favourite source on Google Add DutchNews as a favourite source on GoogleDivers on Friday afternoon found the body of a man in the Amsterdam Rhine canal, close to the spot where a small ferry was hit by a cargo ship earlier in the day.
The body is thought to be that of the ferry’s skipper. Police now believe he was the only person on the ferry when it was hit by the German freighter early on Friday morning.
The ferry is used to transport passengers and bikes over the busy waterway close to Breukelen, north of Utrecht.
