A number of big industrial power users, such as the Stork engineering group and steelmaker Corus, are planning to go to court in an effort to force a reduction in energy transport costs, the Financieele Dagblad reports on Monday.

This August, it emerged the transport networks plan to increase their delivery charges by an average of 7% a year for the next three years.
Stork, for example, faces an annual 25% increase in charges, claims major power users body VEMW. ‘That is a hefty increase for industry in a difficult economy,’ spokesman Hans Grünfeld told the paper.
The increase is necessary to pay for improvements to the grid system and prepare them for more locally-produced green energy, the energy suppliers say.
