Police use webcams and Skype to take crime reports
People living in the north and east of Gelderland province will be able to report crimes to the police using the Skype computer-based telephony service and a webcam from November 1, the Telegraaf reports.
After making an appointment via internet, the police will get in touch with the complainant via Skype to take a statement. Once the complaint has been put down on paper, a copy will be mailed to the victim for his or her signature.
