Dutch take world dressage gold
Edward Gal and his horse Moorlands Totilas performed a ‘nearly flawless’ dressage routine at the world championships in Kentucky on Tuesday, giving the Netherlands the gold medal for the team eventl.
The victory came after a difficult morning in which one Dutch rider fell and another was disqualified. It is the first time the Dutch have won the world title, which has been dominated by Germany since 1970.
