Over 16,000 motorists in Rotterdam were breathlysed on Saturday night as part of the biggest ever Dutch crackdown on drunk driving.
In total, 329 people failed the test – just under 0.5% of the total checked. Thirty people had their driving licences confiscated on the spot.
Police told Nos tv the mass check was part of preparations for the end of year holiday season.
