Busy roads ahead as autumn holiday looms

The ANWB motoring organisation has warned of heavy traffic on the country’s roads this weekend as thousands of people head off for an autumn break.

Some 700,000 people are thought to be planning a short holiday over the next few days.
The Symphonica in Rosso concerts in Arnhem and major road works on the A1 and A2 will also add to the traffic congestion, the ANWB says.
Schiphol airport says it is expecting to process 430,000 passengers this weekend. According to news agency ANP, Schiphol is asking passengers travelling with KLM to arrive at the airport three hours before departure.
The schools break up in the north and centre of the country on Friday. The south follows a week later.
