Trading house Van der Moolen booked a net loss of €15.5m last year, the company said in a statement on Thursday.

But earnings from continuing operations were up at €147m, compared with €102m in 2007, the company said.
Van der Moolen plans to focus on its key European markets and roll out its Global Markets trading platform into other countries, the statement said.
