The absenteeism rate is highest in the civil service (5.6%) and health service (5.3%) while farm workers are least likely to be off work because they are ill, according to new figures from the national statistics office CBS.

The absenteeism rate at firms with at least 100 workers was 5% last year, compared with 3.3% at small companies.
The absenteeism rate has hovered around an average of 4.3% for the past four years, the CBS says.
