Travel agency to open 30 new outlets
Travel agency D-reizen plans to open 30 new high-street outlets over the next three years, bringing its total number of branches to 230, news agency ANP reports on Monday.
The expansion is noteworthy because of the increasing popularity of internet travel agents – a market which grew by 35% over the second half of 2007, ANP said.
‘Some 86% of our customers check us out online, but 78% come to one of our shops to the make a booking,’ director Will van den Hoogen is quoted as saying.
D-reizen is part of the Dirk van den Broek retail empire.
