VEB may sue over Vedior ‘insider trading’

Shareholders’ lobby group VEB is considering submitting a damages claim against staffing agency Vedior, VEB director Jan Maarten Slagter told news agency Betten on Wednesday.

Last week Vedior’s share price rose 31% on rumours that it was about to be taken over and financial services watchdog AFM is investigating possible insider trading.
‘Investors who bought shares on Friday morning have been duped because others knew about the talks,’ Slagter said.
