Chelsea eyes up Ajax coach Ten Cate

London football club Chelsea is looking at Ajax coach Henk ten Cate as a possible field trainer, the Telegraaf reports on Thursday.

The paper says talking on the Amsterdam club’s Ten Cate would allow Avram Grant, who replaced José Mourinho last month, to focus on purely managerial tasks.
Sources at Chelsea told the paper that Ten Cate is not the only candidate for the job. However, Ten Cate, whose contract with Ajax expires at the end of this season, had talks with Chelsea representatives last week, the paper says.
Ten Cate declined to comment on the reports.
Meanwhile, free newspaper De Pers reports that Guus Hiddink, currently coach of the Russian national team, will take over from Grant.
