AZ remained the only Eredivisie side with a perfect record after beating Go Ahead Eagles 5-2 on Saturday, a fourth win in four games that keeps them clear at the top.

Reigning champions PSV and Ajax both won comfortably, but Feyenoord drew against newly promoted ADO Den Haag.

PSV thrashed FC Utrecht 6-1 in Utrecht. Ajax, who scored five against Sion in the Conference League on Thursday, struggled in the first half at Telstar before running out 4-0 winners with a flurry of second-half goals.

Down the table
Feyenoord had to come from 2-0 down to rescue a 2-2 draw with ADO Den Haag in De Kuip. The point was ADO’s first of the season. For Feyenoord it was a second home game this season without a win.

NEC won 3-1 at PEC Zwolle in a game that produced four penalties. Twente won 4-1 at Cambuur.

Willem II claimed their first point of the season in a 2-2 draw with Heerenveen, and Excelsior beat Sparta 2-1 with a late winner in the Rotterdam derby. Fortuna Sittard won 3-2 at Groningen on Friday.

Next weekend brings the season’s first top-of-the-table meeting between Ajax and PSV in Amsterdam, with Feyenoord away at NEC and AZ at Heerenveen.
