Luna most popular name for Dutch dogs and cats
It could get confusing when calling your pet, but Luna is now the most popular name for both Dutch cats and dogs, according to an animal health insurer.
Luna topped the dogs name chart last year, but has now outstripped Tijger for cats, insurance company Proteq Dier & Zorg says in its annual survey.
After Luna, Max, Diesel, Bo and Bella are popular names for dogs. Simba, Tijger, Gizmo, Boris, Lucky and Minoes make up the other most popular names for cats.
The chart is based on the names of pets registered with the insurance company in 2012.
