Prison guards at the PI Alphen were surprised to see a pack of drinking yogurt dropped over the walls by a drone, reports the Telegraaf.

However, instead of a healthy dietary supplement for a calcium-craving inmate, the packet instead contained mobile phones, sim cards and chargers.

‘Our colleagues are extra wary the minute we are alerted to a drone in the area,’ a prison spokesman wrote on Instagram. ‘Especially when it drops an “extraordinary” pack of Optimel from its cage in the skies.

‘Thanks to our keen-eyed colleagues, we were able to intercept this pack of Optimel alongside the contraband goods and confiscate them.’

It is not known which inmate had ordered the ‘drinking yogurt’ drop and was left high and dry.
