Dutch skaters topped the medal table at this weekend’s European speed skating championships this weekend, taking 11 out of 14 golds.
The Dutch took both the men and the women’s team pursuit titles as well as the mass start for women, and the the 1,000 metres and 1,500 metres for both men and women.
In total, the Dutch won 21 medals at the three day championships, which took place at the Thialf stadium in Herenveen.

The Netherlands are forecast to win six gold medals at next month’s Winter Olympics in Beijing, in both the distance and short track events.
