A 52 year-old woman and a 58-year-old man from Limburg have been charged with child sexual abuse, the public prosecution office has confirmed.

The pair, who were arrested on June 13 and held in custody since then, are accused of the sexual abuse of seven girls between two and six years old.

The facts came to light when cameras caught the woman, who had been offering baby sitting services online since 2019, abusing a two-year-old while video calling the man.

The two, who have no previous record, were arrested the same night and police are investigating all devices found at their homes. The affected families have been offered psychological support.

There are no indications that more children have been abused, the department said. Both suspects will appear before the court for a preliminary hearing next week.
